taking a break...

Wearing dress and clutch from Yves Saint Laurent, glitter Miu Miu heels

With the holidays looming and some other stuff going on, I'm finding it difficult to come up with decent things to post about. Maybe it's bloggers block? Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I will be taking a break from Cashmereandcandy.com until something inspires me to come back and blog again.
I will still be posting on my Instagram (cashmereandcandy) so you can follow me there.

Happy Holidays and good-bye, 2011. See you all in 2012?!

berry-stained...

Wearing shirt-dress from random boutique in Shibuya, Hermes 28cm Kelly, Givenchy boots and Ethan's (from ethandesu) hat

I spent a good 2 hours at 109 in Shibuya and walked away with only one purchase: this shirtdress.
Like many of you, I am in obsessed with burgundy this year. Paired with a day-time smokey eye and dark berry-stained lips, it's perfect for this season!

louis vuitton x hong kong and macau city guide launch party...

Wearing button down shirt from Topshop, H & M wide-legged trousers, YSL pumps and debuting my new-ish 28 cm box Kelly by Hermes

A family friend suddenly passed away recently and it hit me that as cheesy as it sounds, life really is too short. There is nothing worth getting that angry over that can't be resolved or simply forgotten. Treasure those and what you have and don't forget to have fun!

Anyway, this particular event was held at the Louis Vuitton store in Landmark, Central.  It was jam-packed with people and not only did they serve the usual canapes and bubbly; they took it a step further and also served Chinese Tea, Chinese desserts and dim sum. I am also very proud to say that The Armoury as well as my friend Vivian Luk are both mentioned in the guide!

Oh, and yes, this was what was inside the little orange bag that broke the bank the last time I was in Tokyo. I am still reeling and slightly nauseous that I dropped so much on something so little out of the blue but I've been using her quite often (as you'll see in future posts). Plus, it's an investment piece, right?

printed pants...

Wearing blouse from Topshop, pants from H+M, Stella McCartney heels, Balenciaga bag

These are a fashionista's version of sweatpants- sooooo comfy! I was a little worried that it was too pyjama-y when I first picked up the pants, but decided I don't care. It's starting to get a bit too chilly to wear them so I'm pulling them out for one-last-hurrah before winter comes to Hong Kong.
